Celebrating DesignHaus’ 4th Anniversary:
Helping Clients Find Their Voice Through Inspiring Design and Powerful Brand Strategy
Four years ago this month, I started DesignHaus Creative Services. With an extensive background in the fields of fine art, graphic design, film and media production, marketing collateral, packaging, web development, logo design, and branding, forming my own business was the next logical step in my career. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Graphic design is art in the service of function – a creative intersection where the medium and the message are in harmony, both working together to achieve a more perfect union. I enjoy the freedom of working with diverse clients across a wide spectrum of projects and initiatives, and there’s great satisfaction in having played a distinctive role in my clients’ business success. Whether it’s guiding them thorough the journey of new business creation, or developing fresh strategies for growth via a rebranding, my mission is to support my clients’ endeavors through open communication, a thoughtful design process, and inspired ideation.
To put it simply: I help my clients find their voice.
Along the circuitous journey that led me to establish DesignHaus, I met so many great people, each offering inspiration along the way: creative mentors, friends, business associates, clients - all have contributed in some way to my own success, often without knowing. To all of you, I give thanks.
So Happy Anniversary to DesignHaus! Here’s to many more years of helping businesses and organizations connect and communicate more effectively with their target audiences through great print and digital design, and powerful brand identity strategy. Let’s talk soon.

Corona Virus Update
Dear Friends and Clients,
After Governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency for the Commonwealth of Virginia and with an increasing number of presumptive positive or confirmed corona virus cases in Virginia, we have to be even more vigilant and careful. DesignHaus Creative Services takes this situation very seriously. As a home-based business, I have less interaction with people and can better control my closer surroundings. I have canceled all in-person meetings, but continue to serve my clients. Meetings or consultations can be conducted on the phone, via Facetime or Zoom, or by email. With any questions or concerns please reach out to me.
Please stay safe and healthy!

DesignHaus is pleased to announce our partnership with the not-for-profit cancer-survivor support network, Here for the Girls. Here for the Girls creates and serves an extended family of young breast cancer survivors (diagnosed under 51) who help one another overcome the diagnosis, treatment, and beyond, ensuring that all young women have the love, encouragement, and knowledge of their support needs from peers who understand.

The opportunity to give back to the community and support a great cause is important to us, and DesignHaus has pledged to support this amazing organization by continuously donating 5% of ALL proceeds!

Now, when you book any of our services, whether for branding strategies, graphic design, website design, workshops and more, your project will also support Here for the Girls!

I was honored to support Granby High School's Peer Mediation Program with a logo and graphics for their completion ceremony on March 23, 2017. I met aspiring students who want to create a safe zone within their school.

The purpose of the mediation program is to create a peaceful culture and safe zone in the school. Under faculty adviser Ed Alison, the group has worked to teach troubled students problem-solving skills and foster conflict resolution among peers since its inception in 2007.
Students participating in the program have a close partnership with the school’s disciplinary team – meaning students are less likely to face suspension after choosing to go through the program. Both facilitators of the program and the school’s disciplinary enforcers stress conflict resolution as a choice – now, Granby High School mentors aim to share these life skills in an effort to promote better interactions among students.
By partnering with mediation professionals in the Hampton Roads area, such as Sharon Harrington, principal with Amediate, LLC, the young mentors in the mediation program hope to expand their knowledge of conflict resolution in the school system so students are best prepared to handle conflict resolution in the workplace.
